About the Project
War Poetry is a collection of Poems and Songs. It seeks to educate the people about the ills of war through Poetry and Songs.The project was conceived earlier in the year but due to some forces beyond control it was only able to be fully implemented at this time of the year. This is happening at a time when everywhere around the world there is strife and commotion, nations are fighting nations, Insurgency, nations are making for themselves weapons and going nuclear. It is almost as if another world war is coming.
The project also centers on other topics such as struggle and love. Everybody has a battle he or she is facing, everywhere there seems to be hunger, recession and corruption in government, particularly in Africa. We need love to take away all the hate.
The major players behind this project are young intellectuals who saw the need to contribute in one way or the other to make sure this project a reality. The genre of music particularly explored in this project is rap music, we tried as much as possible to write lyrics that will educate and uplift the people.
Note that War Poetry is a mixtape and therefore not intended for commercial purposes, Almost all Instrumentals used in this project were sourced from YouTube Producers.
